Gromit, that's it! Cheese! We'll go somewhere where there's cheese! Everybody knows the moon is made of cheese...
"A Grand Day Out" is the first of the three classic short films with Nick Park's brilliant animated plasticine characters Wallace & Gromit. Finished in 1989, it is a low-budget production that started a legend. It all begins with Wallace's insatiable appetite for cheese, some indecision about a vacation destination and the discovery that there is no cheese left. Not a bit in the house! What to do? Well, if you're a cheese addict and a tinkerer, the answer is obvious: you build a rocket and travel to the moon which, as everyone knows, is made of cheese.
